PREMIERES is a New York City–based nonprofit theatre company dedicated to the development, production, and promotion of new musical theatre. Founded in 2000, the organization serves as a vital incubator for emerging and established composers, lyricists, and playwrights.
Mission
Our goal is to enrich the American musical canon by rediscovering and nurturing distinctive work by exceptional musical theatre creators and creating pathways to meaningful and impactful performances.
How We Do It
We identify high-potential musicals that have gained recognition but lost momentum before reaching full creative life. We address the artistic and commercial barriers that have held them back and position these works to attract producers, productions, and audiences.
